Module 2 - Growing to Be a Transformational Leader in Fashion
How to Build a Relational Fashion Enterprise ?
Success nowadays has changed; it is not the mere quest for status and money. It is one’s desire to give back to society; to live and work under one’s own rules. To make a difference, to create something that matters, that addresses the pressing issues that societies around the globe face today. The objective of this Module is to help you advance in building your ‘Sustainable Fashion Project’ while developing vital entrepreneurship skills on starting up and managing the internal environment of your business building on co-creation skills and transformational engagement. The previous Module introduced you in the financial and economic aspects of your project. In this Module you will need to set aside the commercial part of your venture and work on designing the social objectives and starting it up through co-creation with various stakeholder groups. You are selling neither a label, nor a fashion item, you are selling an IDEA, a STORY. We will now work on developing your Sustainable Fashion Story
The Module has been divided in three parts which correspond to different tasks of your fashion projects. You have the chance to review your replies to the previous Module adding more information to all the parts of your ”Sustainable Fashion Project” plan. Your project plans can be changed throughout the whole programme. What you have learnt on fund raising and impact measurements will now be needed to fund the social aspects of your venture. Your budgets and numbers will need to be further adjuested as new cost drivers may now emerge. In the following Modules you will see that you have now gained a whole new group of consumers, the ethical fashion consumer, and that you are now attracting believers, rather than customers. You will be referred to parts in the Handbooks; you are adviced to study the examples from the Best practices cases offered and theself-administered exercises. You will also be offered various reading
materials that can help you deepen on the issues that we raise in this Module.
